How to use the Ringing, Buzzer and Flashlight features ?

Weenect trackers include three handy features you can control from the app: ringing, buzzer, and flashlight.
They are not just for tracking your pet. They can also help with training, especially recall.

Ringing the tracker

The ringing plays a sound directly from the tracker.

  • Available durations: 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, or 30 seconds.

Possible uses:

  • Quickly find your pet when nearby but out of sight.
  • Link the ringing to a reward (treat, toy, petting) to train recall. Your pet learns to come back as soon as they hear it.
  • Get their attention in noisy or distracting places.

Buzzing the tracker

The buzzer creates a short, discreet pulse your pet can feel.

  • Available durations: 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, or 30 seconds.

Possible uses:

  • Create a silent recall signal. Very useful for pets sensitive to sounds or in places where silence is needed.
  • Train your pet to link the buzzer with an action (come back, stop, look at you). With consistency, it becomes an effective way to communicate.

Turn on the flashlight

The tracker has a built-in light that can stay steady or blink.

  • Available modes: steady or blinking light.
  • Available durations: 1, 2, 5, 10, or 30 minutes.

Possible uses:

  • Spot your pet in the dark (yard, forest, night walk).
  • Make them more visible from afar to keep them safe (for example, on walks near a road).

Training tips

  • Start with short sessions: activate the function (sound or buzzer) and reward your pet right away when they react correctly.
  • Repeat often so your pet understands the link between the signal and the action.

⚠️ For these features to work, the tracker must be connected and have good network coverage.
