What do the different tracker statuses mean in the app ?

When using a Weenect tracker, it is essential to understand the different statuses shown in the app. These statuses, represented by colored badges, provide crucial information about your tracker’s condition and connectivity. By understanding them, you can ensure your tracker is working properly and meeting your tracking needs.

Tracker Statuses Explained

The badge color displayed next to your tracker’s name in the status bar represents a specific tracker status:

  • Green badge: This badge indicates that your tracker is properly connected. It is online and able to transmit real-time location data.
The app may also display the status “Hasn't moved”: this means the tracker is still connected but does not detect any movement. In this case, it temporarily stops sending location updates to save battery. As soon as movement is detected, transmission automatically resumes.
  • Red badge: A red badge indicates that the tracker is turned off, disconnected, or that its battery is empty. It is important to check and resolve this issue to ensure continuous tracking.
  • Blue badge: When the badge is blue, the tracker is in an power-saving area. This feature helps extend battery life when real-time tracking is not required.
  • Grey badge: This badge indicates that the tracker is in airplane mode within an power-saving area. This is the optimal mode to conserve battery when tracking is not needed for an extended period.

How to Access Detailed Status Information

To view more details about your tracker’s status, open the Weenect app and, in the “Map” tab, tap the status bar at the top of the screen.

The status screen provides information about the current state of your tracker (last position, last communication, network status, GPS status, and battery level).

Conclusion

Understanding the statuses of your Weenect tracker is essential for effective and secure use. Whether you are monitoring a pet, a child, or an elderly person, this information helps you stay informed about your tracker’s condition and take appropriate action when needed.

Good to know:
It is recommended to regularly check your tracker’s battery level, especially before extended outdoor activities, to ensure consistent and reliable tracking.
