When using the Weenect app, you have three map-centering modes available to help you effectively view both your tracker’s location and your phone’s position. Here’s how to choose and use each mode based on your needs:
1. Tracker
This mode centers the map precisely on the tracker’s position.
When to use it?
- When your priority is to accurately track the real-time movements of the tracker.
- Practical example: You’re walking your dog or monitoring the movements of a loved one or your cat, and you want to stay focused solely on their current location.
2. Tracker and phone
This mode centers the map to display both your phone and the tracker, clearly showing both positions in a single view.
When to use it?
- When you want to easily visualize the distance between you and the tracker, and follow both positions on the map at the same time.
- Practical example: You’re searching for your pet or a person carrying the tracker, and you want to quickly estimate how far you need to go to reach them.
3. Dynamic orientation
This mode automatically rotates the map according to the direction your phone is facing.
When to use it?
- When you’re on the move and want to intuitively follow your direction on the map to better navigate your surroundings.
- Practical example: You’re walking or cycling while actively following the tracker. This mode allows the map to automatically rotate based on your orientation, making it easier to navigate.
