Your Weenect tracker may lose its network connection due to network coverage issues or interference. In this article, we’ll guide you step-by-step to reconnect your tracker.
Before following the steps in this article, make sure you have your tracker with you.
First solution: restart your tracker
The first step is to turn off and then turn on your tracker. The tracker should be outdoors or near a window during startup.
Weenect XS and XT
- Turn off the tracker: Press the central button three times in a row. You will hear a beep and feel a vibration confirming it is off. The green LED will briefly light up before turning off.
- Turn on the tracker: Hold down the central button for three seconds. Once turned on, the LED will start blinking red and green, indicating the tracker is searching for a GSM network. A flashing green LED means the connection is established.
If the tracker has trouble connecting to the GSM network, the red and green LEDs will alternate continuously. This suggests a connectivity issue, which may require moving the tracker to an area with better network coverage.
Weenect Cats² and Dogs² & Weenect Kids and Silver
- Turn off the tracker: Quickly press the ON/OFF button three times. The vibration confirms the tracker is off.
- Turn on the tracker: Hold the ON/OFF button for three seconds. A vibration and sound will confirm the tracker is active. Right after turning on, the yellow LED will remain solid briefly, then start flashing quickly, indicating it is searching for a network. When the yellow LED stabilizes and flashes regularly like a heartbeat, it means your tracker is properly connected to the server.
