The Beneficiary Shelters of Weenect’s Christmas Offer

This holiday season, Weenect is renewing its commitment to animal welfare with the Santa Paw initiative. This year, each Christmas bundle for dogs or cats, created in collaboration with KONG, will support partner shelters. For every bundle purchased, €5 will be donated to the BooGlaw or Tierheim Berlin shelters, along with a KONG toy to brighten the days of animals awaiting adoption. Through this initiative, we aim to offer a joyful and supportive season to pets while actively supporting the shelters that care for them.

Tierheim Berlin: For the Second Year, Weenect Supports One of Europe’s Largest Shelters

Founded in 1841, Tierheim Berlin spans 16 hectares, making it one of the largest animal shelters in Europe. Located in Berlin, it houses around 1,300 animals each day, including dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, and exotic animals. The mission of Tierheim Berlin is to provide temporary shelter to animals in distress, offering them appropriate medical care and behavioral support.

The animals receive balanced nutrition, veterinary care, and behavioral rehabilitation when needed, preparing them for sustainable adoption. Tierheim Berlin also stands out for its efforts in animal welfare education and awareness, with programs aimed at young people and campaigns promoting spaying and neutering to help control the animal population.

Primarily funded through donations, memberships, and the help of volunteers, Tierheim Berlin benefits from community support to continue its initiatives. This shelter not only provides a safe space for animals but also contributes to public education on responsible adoption and animal protection.

BooGlaw: A Shelter Committed to Animal Protection in Île-de-France

Founded in November 2019 and located in Champigny-sur-Marne, BooGlaw is dedicated to the protection of stray, abandoned, or mistreated animals. This shelter, primarily active in Île-de-France, operates in the Val-de-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis, and Paris areas. BooGlaw takes in animals in distress, providing necessary care before preparing them for adoption.

Each animal is cared for with particular attention, including comprehensive veterinary care: vaccinations, parasite treatments, and specific interventions if needed. Once recovered, the animals are put up for adoption with support to ensure a successful integration into their new family. The shelter is open to the public every day from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., allowing potential adopters to meet the animals and learn about the association’s work.

BooGlaw relies heavily on donations and sponsorship, which enable it to continue its mission of animal protection. In addition to its rescue and adoption activities, the shelter raises public awareness on issues of animal mistreatment and promotes responsible adoption.
